    Focus Items

    • We NEED to pick up a broom and do a cleanup under tables and endcaps. There is a lot of dirt and garbage under tables.
    • Endcaps and tables need attention. WE NEED to fix crooked blocks on Endcaps. If stores have hit our tables in the IGC have conversations with management on a plan to get them fixed.
    • Racks need to be condensed and sorted by brand with signage. There is a lot of half racks in stores that need to be condensed. The goal every visit should be to have stocked tables, endcaps, pallets, and get rid of as many racks as possible.
    • Product needs to be rotated. Seeing the same tired product on tables from weeks ago. If you do not have a lot of OPP, we can make that third apron table Vigoro or 2G Perennials. OPP can be worked in the IGC. Rotate product on racks as well.
    • Continue to look at Sun/Shade tags. Seeing a lot of shade items on the apron that will need to be protected.
    • Watering will be our top priority. Start having conversations with stores on watering and setting up sprinklers where we can.
    • 2G/3G perennials on the ground need attention. Table wrapping is acceptable, but we need to rotate product and keep a clean presentation.

    Shipping

    • Round 1 and 2 shipping schedules have been sent out.
    • No more Round 3s.

    Water

    • Sprinkler Best Practice will be sent out by next week.
    • Watering needs to be done early in the morning. It will be too busy to water after 10AM.
    • If you need help with watering do not be afraid to ask your Store Manager for assistance.
    • Work with stores on watering schedules.
    • Work with stores to get sprinklers set up on back IGC tables.

    Signage

    • All racks need signage! Use Fernlea’s sign clamps if you do not have any metal sign holders.
    • Every store needs to have a tote for outdoor signage.
    • Make sure all signs are at the store not in your trunks!
    • Organize your signs so they are easily accessible to merchandisers.
    • All Vigoro and PW tables and racks need to have BMSM signage.
    • Use shims on 12x24 signs so they do not blow away.
    • Put up your 12x24 2G and PW Shrub BMSM signs.
