HPA Guidelines
- Focus Items
- Overflow racks need to be cleaned up and brought outside under the shade cloth/hard top where we can.
- Going forward Tropicals will be unwrapped at the farm.
- Watering indoor/outdoor HPA needs to a main focus.
- Tillandsia Jellyfish – Make sure to take them out of tray hang them.
- Work with stores to create an outdoor HPA destination under the hard top to drive extra sales.
- See if stores have extra metal or Hanging Basket fixtures.
- Location should be next to the negative space table as Scott’s product sells down.
- DND Bromeliads, 6in Foliage, 10in Tropicals, and overflow Hanging Baskets are great options.
- Areas of Focus – Outdoor HPA June 8th Week
- Each week we will send an area of focus for the week. These areas should get a bit more attention for clean up and re-organizing
- Vining, bromo, patio, majesty palms
- Toss bad product
- Condense trays/pallets

- Weekly Skip Request
- As orders start to minimize please, work on cleaning up the HPA area.
- Make sure product that will not sell and is taking up space gets tossed.
- Outdoor HPA

- Check POGS for product placement most stores should be mapped.
- Under the apron hard top is a great location if available.
- DND Bromeliads
- Stage racks in the IGC under the shade cloth.
- Work on getting them off racks onto pallets where we can in shaded areas.
- Groundcover endcaps are also an option.
- Make sure racked product is under the shade cloth/hard canopy. (Vining, Tropicals, Hanging Baskets, Foliage can go outside but need to be protected) They should not be in full sun!
- Vining product needs to be condensed and cleaned up. Water product heavy each visit.
- Keep track of outdoor HPA racks so they do not get pushed in the back of the IGC.
- Patio Program
If you have overflow racks and it helps to create space in HPA, you can put the following plants outside in partial shade, or with the Vining program racks. These are tropical plants that can handle more sun and can be included in outdoor planters for the summer.
- HB Varieties Hanging above Shade perennial table: All Ferns, & Pothos in grower pots, keep ceramic containers and unique varieties inside.
- 6in Foliage: Partial sun- Fatsia, Sansevieria, Dracaena Lemon Lime, Dracaena Marginata,Dracaena Janet Craig Compacta, FicusBurgundy, Ficus Tineke, White Bird of Paradise.
- 10” Trops: Partial Sun- Cordyline, Sansevieria, Lemon lime, Marginata, Fatsia, Schefflera Amate, Yucca, Burgundy, Tineke, White Bird of Paradise
- 10in Palm AD 6/3-6/24
- EDLP $19.98
- Palms should be worked outside in your Tropical Area.
- Secondary location should be on pallets in the racetrack.
- Signage will be sent with orders this week.
- Utilize one of the 12x24 EDLP slip signs
The Plant Company-Need pictures of all stores this week under “Plant Company”
- Fenceline Play call. Work with your met supervisors. Districts need an update on Monday.
- Email Travis about inventory needs.
- Be aggressive culling product on permanent racks to make room for new shipments.
Plainview/Altman
- Product can be worked outside under the hard canopy and the shade cloth.
- Condense and cull product weekly. Product needs to be gone through this week!
